General Assembly (GA)
Once a year, mostly in October, the BEST General Meeting takes place. This event requires the presence of all members of the organization and has an important role. When this takes place the board is changed, the coordinators of the departments are chosen, the work done in the past year in evaluated and decisions are taken on the conduct of activities of the organization in that year.
National meetings (BESTRo)
The existence of five local BEST groups in five large universities in Romania, there has been created a strong link between them. Each year it holds a series of meetings, called BESTRo, whose main purpose is to provide mutual support in their development and better communication. During these meetings representatives of each local group in the country discussed ways to improve collaboration, joint projects (eg JobShop), maintaining the friendly relations created.
Regional meetings (RM)
BEST at an European level is divided by regions, and local group BEST Iasi is part of the Central – Eastern or “Mongolia.” During the regional meetings the local representatives discuss problems and solutions, implemented ideas or they simply transmit useful tips from a local group to another and have the opportunity to revisit their friends from other countries. Events are organized by rotation and in 2006 BEST Iasi organized a regional meeting for the first time.
National / International Jamboree
Jamboree, both nationally and internationally, is an event for new members. During the event trainings take place, simulations of events, exchange of experience between old and new members as well as recreational activities such as quests, games and hiking.
Workshop / Local Trainshops
These events are for BEST members, but also for students from the Technical University, for whom there are regularly organized sessions of this type.
Workshops have certain themes to which the solution is found working together.
The goals of these workshops are different: from the creation of promotional materials for an event to finalizing the last details of another event.
Trainshops, on the other hand, are intended exclusively for BEST members, focusing on their specialization in one of the structural departments of each local group.
Cultural Exchanges
International events take place in a partnership with other local groups in Europe, cultural exchanges focus on a specific theme and aim at sharing the experiences of young people from different countries. On this occasion, participants can visit different cities with their cultural and tourist targets, and may come into contact with different people and mentalities.
BEST Iasi organized a cultural exchange in 2008, the partner beeing the Local Group Madrid.
