Fund Raising (FR)
The Fund Raising department is responsible for all the activities that are meant to ensure the financial needs and logistics for a successful organization development and for creating high-quality events.
The activities of the department include not only collaborations with companies that get involved in the organization’s development, but also writing financing projects to institutions that support voluntary work at a local, national and even international level.
We wish the members of this department to increase the quality standards of our events and that is why they participate in training sessions held inside and outside the organization, focused on themes like negotiation, persuasion, project management, strategic planning.
Public Relations (PR)
It’s one of the 4 departments in which the organization consists of and its purpose is to improve and spread the image of “BEST” at a national level and also worldwide. The whole process develops by maintaining a visual identity as well as establishing a marketing strategy.
Moreover, through our range of activities we wish to create and maintain favourable relationships between the organization and its audience.
Teamwork is encouraged through workshops and different meetings, in order for the members to maintain close, constant connections inside the organization and provide exact, up-to-date information regarding the department.
Human Resources (HR)
The Human Resources department is represented by a team of members who ensure that the people in organization are working in optimum conditions.
Firstly, we ensure(guarantee) the continuity of the team by settling an annual recruiting session and then we develop an integration process for the new members, through a mentoring programme with more experienced members.
Another responsibility of the HR team consists of evaluating objectively the projects we organize, in order to improve them, year by year.
We also take into account the continuous growth of our members and arrange training sessions, not only technical, but also focused on knowledge transfer with older members and trainers.
Also, in order to keep the team motivated and satisfied with their work inside BEST, we organize different leisure activities (going to the movies,opera, philharmonic), outdoor activities, parties.
For us, each and every member is important, no matter his/her responsibility and we’re all equals!
Information Technology Committee (ITC)
You know nothing about computers?
You’ve never seen a crimp?
Do you think “broadband” is a rock band?
Then this is the department you’d like to get involved in!
The main goal of this department is to ensure the logistics at any activity and develop the software applications needed for every event. If there’s no event going on, we ensure the logistics of the headquarters.
Our motto is “No prior IT skills required!”, but how can you still help even if you have no IT knowledge at all?
Very easy.
No IT skills needed in order to help developing a software application or a website because an important aspect is the user’s opinion also.
You don’t need technical knowledge to manage logistics for an event, but have to be a responsible, organized person.
Last but not the least, anything can be learned, and one of the goals of BEST is to grow its members, personally and professionally.
